Hallo, hola, hi there!
My name is Lianne Gorissen and I am the teacher at Easy Language Online. Dutch is my mother tongue, but besides that I speak English and Spanish fluently. Learning Spanish myself at Utrecht University has offered me an in-depth sense as to what it really takes to learn a new language. It was during my masters that I discovered my passion for second language acquisition and teaching languages. The languages I teach are Spanish and Dutch as a second language (NT2).
In my online classes I combine existing methods with creating my own courses and materials, focusing on conversational skills and coaching students to gain more self-confidence in order to speak Dutch or Spanish in everyday situations. Because don’t forget: speaking a foreign language can be so much fun!

The teaching method is based on receptive language skills (reading and listening), productive language skills (writing and speaking), pronunciation and grammar. As a guideline and according to your level, I will recommend a study book which can be purchased.
During the online meetings you will practice with various exercises from the book and additional study material will be provided. For many assignments you will work with your duo partner or directly with the teacher, where you will receive instant feedback. This feedback is a great way to monitor your progress, focus on areas of difficulty and stay motivated as you learn. The vocabulary is learned through a program called Quizlet.
In my lessons I combine existing methods with my own materials. There is a special focus on conversational skills. I will dedicate my time on those aspects that one can’t learn by self-study:
Self-study
To learn a foreign language, it is important to be engaged with the language every day (even if it’s only for 10 minutes). How fast you will learn highly depends on the time and effort that you are willing to invest to process what you’ve learned during the classes. To ensure that you learn as much as possible from the meetings, you are expected to spend approximately two to three hours per week on self-study. Together we can take a look at how much time you will have for homework each week and make a suitable plan according to that.
Single and monthly packages are available to cater to your needs. Work on a lesson to lesson basis to suit your agenda or guarantee a monthly subscription which would include continued support, material and constant feedback.
